Eva Vives was born in Madrid, Spain in 1976. In 1994, she moved to New York City to study film at New York Univeristy. She graduated in 1998, the same year she produced the award-winning short film FIVE FEET HIGH AND RISING, which won best short prizes at Sundance, Cannes and South by Southwest. Vives followed that up by writing the award-winning feature film RAISING VICTOR VARGAS. She has directed two short films and a music video for the English group The Real Tuesday Weld. She is currently working on BROWNSVILLE, which will be her directorial debut. Queen Latifah is attached to star.
