In 2009, Brandon will earn his Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from the University of Miami, graduating with his master thesis screenplay entitled CURSE THE DARKNESS. In 1997, Brandon earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Screenwriting and Directing and became the School of Filmmaking’s first African American graduate. Brandon's directing credits include BLACK AND MILD and TARGETS (1997), which was awarded a Cine Golden Eagle prize by the Cine Foundation in Washington, D.C., and purchased by Canal + for distribution on pay TV in France, Monaco, and Switzerland. He completed POSER, starring Sean Nelson of the critically acclaimed film, FRESH, in August of 2004. In October of that year, Brandon was a writer-in-residence at The Screenwriters Colony. In 2002, the Sundance Institute in association with Tribeca Films and MTV Films sponsored a reading of Brandon's screenplay, SHOOT THE PREACHER. Brandon has written numerous feature length screenplays including: THE DEVIL’S GOOD DEED (optioned in 2007 by the Mark Gordon Company), READY TO DIE, and TUMBLE.
