Filmmaker, actor, and artist Jennifer Kushner received her MFA in Cinema-Television Production from the University of Southern California and has written, directed, and produced several short films, which have played at festivals across the country. Since USC, Jennifer has worked in the film industry in various capacities, including development assistant at Sobini Films and on-set assistant to director Dennis Dugan on the feature film I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY. Currently, she works at Film Independent running their Filmmaker Labs. Jennifer was one of four writers selected to attend the 2008 Screenwriters Colony Writers-in-Residence Program, where she developed her feature screenplay WAIT AND SEE, ANNIE LEE.
Jennifer started out as an actress, earning her BS in Speech as a Theater and Performance Studies major from Northwestern University and spent her junior year in London at a classical drama conservatory. Jennifer worked as a theater actor in New York for two years before returning to her native California to pursue a career as a filmmaker.
