YAMIN SEGAL
Yamin Segal was born in Managua, Nicaragua. He attended Emerson College where he received a BA in Film Production, and has recently completed his MFA degree in Dramatic Writing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. His thesis screenplay, QUE LINDO ES BAILAR, earned Yamin an invitation to the 2008 Screenwriters Colony Writers-in-Residence program, while his screenplay THREE LATIN GIRLS was a finalist at the 2006 Slamdance Screenplay Competition. Yamin’s narrative short debut, EL LADRONCITO (The Little Thief), is currently touring the film festival circuit, and has most recently won Best Short Narrative at the Arizona International Film Festival.
